Hi everybody,
I am rookie in Linux so I have a problem.
I've installed php4 and apache server according to what was described in a
documentation for php4 (installation for linux as an apache module, example
2-1). The apache server is working. Php too, but not exactly together.
I 've preapared a file "test.php" with <?phpinfo()?> statement.
Writing an address: my.domain/test.php gives me a php4 info page. This is
O.K.
Next, I've preapared a file "test.html":
<!doctype html public "-//w3c//dtd html 4.0 transitional//en">
<html>
<head>
<title>test PHP</title>
</head>
<body>
Test page
<script language="php">
echo ("Hi, I'm a PHP script!");
</script>
</body>
</html>
Writing: my.domain/test.html gives: Test page. And only this. Not even a
track of: Hi, I'm a PHP script!
What went wrong? I use RH 6.1, apache 1.3.12 and php4.0.1pl2
Thanks,
Przemek
