config fail on crypt?

I've run configure about a dozen times tonight, trying to figure out the proper line for the
mysql option. All of a sudden configure fails with a new, seemingly unrelated error. The debug.log
is attached. I have also attached the script I use to run configure, and my ld.so.conf. Help is
greatly appreciated.
