PHP4.2.0cvs Segfaults apache with HORDE

I use horde to manage my mail over a web interface, until I started using php4.2.0-dev (as of 28.10)
everything runs
fine. However, since then some operations seem to reliabley cause apache to segfaults and abort the
application.
Q: Has anyone seen this problem with Apache and Turba (address book) during import?
my setup is:
Linux RH 7.1 (kernel 2.4.9)
Apache 1.3.19 (RPM from redhat)
PHP 4.2.0-dev (DSO module)
configuration:
'./configure' '--with-zlib' '--with-mm' '--with-mcal'
'--with-mysql=/usr' '--with-ldap' '--with-imap'
'--with-imap-ssl' '--with-gettext'
'--enable-ftp' '--with-db3' '--with-kerberos' '--with-apxs'
'--with-config-file-path=/etc' '--enable-track-vars'
