Weird error msg in server log, related to my php prob?

My php scripts don't run the way they are supposed to, I am trying to access
a mySQL database on another computer but when i view the file with a
browser, The html shows until the <?php and then stops. nothing is sent
after that. i checked the server logs and there is this weird error msg:

ar/www/html/scripts/..%2f../winnt/system32/cmd.exe
there arw tons of them that are different but they are all looking for
cmd.exe.
why is it looking for a winnt file when the server is linux?
