Compiling on HP-UX

I have searched the archives and found a few references to problems with HP-UX, but none like this. I thought the problem may have been with HP's ld, but when I try to build that as part of the binutils and gcc, it tells me it is not supported in this configuration. I am using HP-UX 11.0 on a machine with multiple processors, if that makes any difference. Any help would be appreciated... -- Jesse
