Installing PHP4.x.x

I am trying to install PHP4.x.x on my account. I decompressed the file using gunzip -dc php-4.x.x.tar.gz | tar xvf - , and then went into that directory and configured it: ./configure \ --with-gd=no \ --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql <= wouldn't work at any other directory --with-config-file-path=/usr/home/USERNAME/phpini \ --enable-debug=no \ --enable-track-vars=yes \ --enable-force-cgi-redirect=yes The configure process went through nicely and I got a message saying : ---------------------------------------------------- Licsense . . . . Thank you for using PHP This is where my problem is. When I run the nice make immediately after configuring it, it makes all the files except for the PHP executable. Therefore, I can't copy it into my cgi-bin to get the php4.cgi file. I got everywhere but here. Please help. Kindest regards, Philip J. Reid philipjreid@sympatico.ca
