I am running apache 1.3.17 with mod_php3 (3.0.17) and mod_php4 (4.0.3pl1).
The configure options for them are
[php4]
./configure \
--prefix=/software \
--with-config-file-path=/etc/php4 \
--enable-versioning \
--with-imap=/software \
--with-apxs=/software/bin/apxs \
--with-mysql=/software || abort
and
[php3]
./configure \
--prefix=/software \
--with-config-file-path=/etc/php3 \
--enable-versioning \
--with-apxs=/software/bin/apxs \
--enable-track-vars \
--with-imap=/software \
--enable-force-cgi-redirect \
--with-xml \
--with-mysql=/software || abort
MySQL libraries are in /software/lib/mysql and ldd shows that both libphp3
and libphp4 are linked against them, rather than the version which ships
with the PHP distribution.
Despite this, I still get warnings of the form
Warning: MySQL: Unable to save result set in <scriptfile> on line <number>
How do I fix these -- or, at least, how do I get more useful diagnostics?
