Assuming you are running Apache... If you have permissions to modify the httpd.conf file, add: Options -Indexes ...to your directory container <Directory "/path/to/your/webroot"> If you don't have access to modify the httpd.conf file, add a file ..htaccess in your web root and use the line shown above.
