hi, I installed php 4.2.1 from source (I needed a recent php for a project), but now I get an error-message from apache: couchpotato:/etc# /etc/init.d/apache restart Reloading apache modules. Syntax error on line 108 of /etc/apache/httpd.conf: Cannot load /usr/lib/apache/1.3/libphp4.so into server: /usr/lib/apache/1.3/libphp4.so: undefined symbol: zm_startup_syslog /usr/sbin/apachectl start: httpd could not be started Ich benutze apache 1.3.x auf Debian GNU/Linux 2.2 (potato): couchpotato:/home/felix# apache -v Server version: Apache/1.3.9 (Unix) Debian/GNU Server built: Apr 29 2000 10:48:16 php was configure'd with ./configure i686-gnu-linux --with-apxs=/usr/bin/apxs --with-zlib --with-zlib-dir=/usr/ --with-mysql=/usr/ --with-gd --with-jpeg-dir=/usr/ --with-png-dir=/usr/ Unfortunately the automatic configuration of headers didn't work (i.e. HAVE_LOCALE_H), so I had to add a lot of #include's by hand. thanks, -- Felix Natter
