PHP 4.2.1/Apache 1.3.26 on RH Linux 7.2

Dear Friends,
I am trying to install PHP 4.2.1/ Apache 1.3.26 on Redhat Linux 7.2.I build it from the
source code as specified in PHP manual.But when i was rebooting the machine, the apache service
failed with the following error:
line 261 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf : Cannot load /etc/httpd/modules/libphp4.so into server :
/etc/httpd/modules/libphp4.so undefined symbol:gdbm_errno.
Please help me in this problem.
