Mandrake 7.0 and PHP 4.0.3

I installed Mandrake 7.0 (full install) on my system (which is a Pentium II-233 with 64Mb of RAM and
3.5 Gb HDD). I have downloaded PHP 4.0.3pl1, and can't figured out how to install it on my
existing system. Please tell me the best way to install it, because I was scared that I might
messing up with the existing, working configuration. (My boss would be angry if I'm messing
up). Just for additional record, I want to use MySQL, GD library, LDAP, XML, and other existing
add-in modules for my PHP apps.
