use ldap with php

Hello,
I have problem to use openldap with php
I use php403pl1, apache 1.3.12 with linux redhat
I use the following command to configure php:
./configure --with-apache=/apache/apache_1.3.12 --with-config-file-path=/apa
che --enable-sigchild --with-ldap --enable-yp --with-imap=/imap/imap-4.7c/c-
client --without-mysql --with-pdflib
make
make install
And for apache:
./configure --prefix=/apache --enable-module=most --enable-shared=max --acti
vate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a
make
make install
the phpinfo() function return that ldap is ok, but the following script
doesn't work
$ds is always FALSE
<?
echo "ldap query test<BR>";
echo "Connexion ...<BR>";
$ds=ldap_connect("ip_of_ldap_server");
echo "Résultat de la connexion: ".$ds;
echo "<BR>Deconnexion ...";
if ($ds) {
echo "ok";
ldap_close($ds);
}
else
{
echo "erreur";
}
?>
What's wrong???
