Hi there, I'm having some trouble installing PHP4.0.3pl1 as a DSO module under Apache 1.3.14, on FreeBSD 2.2.6 (urgh - i know :-). The ./configure, make and make install all go well, apart from the following message from 'make install'. I don't think this is anything to do with the problem, but i'm not an expert: *** Warning: inter-library dependencies are not known to be supported. *** All declared inter-library dependencies are being dropped. *** The inter-library dependencies that have been dropped here will be *** automatically added whenever a program is linked with this library *** or is declared to -dlopen it. The *actual* problem surfaces when trying to start apache - when the apachectl start is performed, Apache dies with: $ sudo /local/apache/bin/apachectl start Syntax error on line 208 of /local/apache/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load /local/apache/libexec/libphp4.so into server: Undefined symbol "_finite" in httpd:/local/apache/libexec/libphp4.so /local/apache/bin/apachectl start: httpd could not be started Nothing else appears to be logged (to errorlog, etc). I have tried the same build procedure on OpenBSD 2.7 - everything works ok. What is wrong with the FreeBSD installation I have? Any clues as to what could be causing this would be greatly appreciated.
