If you find a solution to this, please let me know. I would be most
appreciative, as I have the same problem, although I only installed
libmcrypt, not mcrypt.

Subject: [PHP-INST] Problems with mcrypt and mhash
Hi,
I've been trying without success to get php working with mcrypt and
mhash encryption.
I'm using:
mhash 0.8.3
mcrypt 2.2.6
libmcrypt 2.4.7
php 4.0.2
Apache 1.3.12
FreeBSD 3.4
I succeeded to compile PHP --with-mcrypt --with-mhash, in Static and
Dynamic mode, but when running apache in static mode, it won't process PHP
files, even though the AddType application/x-httpd-php .php line is unquoted
and mod_php is listed when running httpd -l. In dynamic mode, I get a
segmentation fault when running apache. Please help!
