Hello Pierre,
I did not change anything therehttp://cvs.php.net/viewvc.cgi/php-src/win32/build/confutils.js?r1=1.60.2.1.2.8.2.28&r2=1.60.2.1.2.8.2.29&pathrev=PHP_5_3
but barely tried to merge your changes, those you applied for the extension dependencies codeThe culprit was a fix for a crash caused by exactly the same problem. All you did was hid the problem.
HEAD and 5.3 were out of sync (to be polite) and this situation was a real pain to work with. You should have just waited. Everything else was merged as soon as I was able to merge it. And if it really couldn't wait, reporting the bug to me might have been useful, rather than leaving it all to serendipity.
Well, at least we agree on something! - Stephand drop the existing workarounds. This really should happen prior to 5.3.0.Indeed. As I said on the internals list, this is something that has to be fixed after alpha2.
