Yeah I think that's a good idea. The only thing I'm not sure about is if we should unify tmp configuration for all extensions. My first instinct would be yes but from looking at php.ini ;upload_tmp_dir = ;session.save_path = "/tmp" soap.wsdl_cache_dir="/tmp" People might want to put these things into different directories so maybe the answer is no :) Do you have a patch which implements this?
