We need to:
- provide a debug build with symbols (could be generated daily to
reduce load on Edin's snap box)
This would great! (I had already suggested that). I don't have the MS compiler, just cygwin, and sometimes I get an error with the snap binnary and then I can't reproduce it with the cygwin build. So, it would be a great help.
- find out exactly how to get Dr. Watson (or whatever) to drop dumps
for applications
I'll investigate this.
- otherwise suggest that they install a debugger. Installing dev tools
under win tends to destabilize the system, so its something to avoid
for production machines; Debugging Tools for Windows is much better
for this than VC++/VS.Net, and is also free.
