Well, some of us have tried to do brain dumps. George Schlossnagle has dedicated part of his "Advanced PHP Programming" book to extension writing (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0672325616) and i have created sort of a code generator called PECL_Gen http://pecl.php.net/package-info.php?package=PECL_Gen Warning: you have to remove one line from the package.xml file before you can install it. It is the line that mentions "void.c" I needed to add it to make the upload process accept the package for now.
