I also like to have it enabled by default and without default filter. In case some of you never tested pecl/filter, the default filter is a SAPI filter. It filters each inputs and replaces the raw values by the filtered values in all superglobals, like _POST/_GET. Enable it by default now will break every applications, as soon as it is set to something else than raw. STRING is the default mode (remove every tags, new lines, special chars,...). -- Pierre
