For those of you who have seen the debconf stuff, how about something like
that?
Walk through menu of "do you want X enabled? do you want Y enabled?" which
just stores as a string and excecutes
./configure {string value}
That way, it's just a bolt-on easy method of writing the configure command for
the end user, and advanced users can do the standard style ./configure
--with-blah style.
