This change is great.
However are there any plans to add a symbol or something else so that a
PHP extension can detect the support for this feature at runtime?
I see that this feature will be backported to older PHP 5 and even to
PHP 4 used by linux/bsd distributions, because it is a required security
fix. For extension developers this will be a problem unless there is
some means of runtime detection, because the same PHP 4.4 extension is
supposed to work with and without the fix (without recompilation).
