I don't see why allocated memory shouldn't be properly initialized in
the first place. To me this looked like a bug in the engine because all
the other elements of the structure are initialized. This uninitialized
variable, and some others have caused quite a few problems in the past
(including fixing the reference issues in PHP 4.3). It's a bad
programming paradigm IMO.
Secondly, if the engine was actually documented, I might have known
about this zend_extension_op_array_ctor_handler that you just mentioned.
I will see if that adequately can address the issue.
