Thanks. That compiles nicely and seems to work - CentOS 5.4 - tested on both 32 & 64 bit gc ? I cannot see anything in php.ini about that -- other than session garbage collection, I assume that you don't mean that ? Much of my motivation for APC is using large programs & class libraries (eg smarty, media wiki) that take a huge amount of time to compile - but the execution path is only a small faction of the code. BTW: 'make test' fails horribly because the modules/ directory doesn't contain most of the modules used (it only contains apc.so).
