solving most git issues and questions

Hi! As one, I have regular small but annoying issues with git. No big deal or stoppers but they are mostly due to my lack of clue. Following a little bit the questions and discussions on IRC, it seems that we are many in the same situation. That's why I would like to improve the FAQ and the workflow page to cover as much cases as possible.
