writing pecl's?

Hi, I am looking at how to write an extension for php, and i have found an article on zend.com from 2005 which works fine with my local php 5.3. My question is should i be worried that this article is almost 8 years old? Is there some more recent articles? Or is this the way to do it? http://devzone.zend.com/303/extension-writing-part-i-introduction-to-php-and-zend/ Med venlig hilsen / Best Regards Lars Nielsen email : lars@lfweb.dk
