Despite I cannot reproduce this problem, the other case if more annoying
<?php for ($i=1 ; $i<5 ; $i++) echo "+ $i\n";
$ php foo.php &
=> [3] Stopped.

With the patch
$ php foo.php &
+ 1
+ 2
+ 3
+ 4
=> [3] Ended
No regression detected when using readline_* functions or interactive
mode. History still works.
