Well and lets reverse the argument a bit. Lets assume the syntax -3**3
== (-3)**2.
Which syntax would be easier to read:
1 - - 3**3 or 1 - (-3)**3
I would find myself always going with number 2 since it is more
intuitive from an operations standpoint and is less jarring on the
eyes.
