Can you give some more details on why you don't like the idea? Is
there anything I can do to the proposal to make it more acceptable?
I don't think you should worry this postponing the release. I plan to
do all of the work for this, it shouldn't cost you any time at all
except a few lines about your opinion.
I'm not comfortable deep diving into the core, so it's not like I can
help make the release go faster if I stop work on this.
