I would be very against removing .gz versions from php.net, bz2 support
on windows is poor at best, I already have winzip and winrar on my
computer and I don't really want another dearchiver, .gz is a common
format for anyone using linux stuff on windows and they can deal with
it, bz2 isnt really that common (most things are available in .tgz and
.bz2 or just .tgz) and it would mean A LOT of people having to go find
more archivers... its only a few megs in the CVS so just leave it
there... it does no harm.
