In general, let's talk about this in a few months. Like for example in March or April, when
we'll already some features and improvements into 7.1. There's no point in deciding about
a release without having any vague idea what it's going to be about.
Usually next (minor) releases are be 10-14 months after the next one.
It doesn't really matter when you work on something… if it won't make it into 7.1,
it'll be in 7.2. That's what nice here, you can contribute whenever you want ;-)

P.s.: but I guess you can safely assume there won't be any release in the next 6 months.
