Hi again, I rewrote the manual entries on utf8_encode() and utf8_decode() to be more helpful: http://svn.php.net/viewvc?view=revision&revision=340506 And they have now been moved to ext/standard in master: https://github.com/php/php-src/pull/2160 I hope this settles this issue mostly.
