PHP3 and PHP4 together

Hi all,
Can I compile/install php3 and php4 together as apache module ?
I'm using:
Apache 1.3.14
PHP 4.0.3pl1
PHP 3.0.15
Both PHP's with: ldap, xml, mysql, imap, etc
When I configure apache with the command :
./configure --activate-module=src/modules/php3/libphp3.a \
--activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a
and after , i run the 'make' I get various errors...
When I use
./configure --activate-module=src/modules/php3/libphp3.a and
./configure --activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a
separated and after , i run the 'make', everyhing works fine but
only the last (PHP4 in this case) is activated ...
