We have urlencode() for that. See www.php.net/urlencode for more information.

Just a suggestion....
Maybe a built-in function that will parse a string into HTTP instead
of
having to go through and replacing each character with its HTTP
replacement.
Ex. I have to send variables via a URL...To pass a string
effectively,
I must parse the string, replacing " " with "+"
, replacing "&" with "%26"
,replacing "@" with "%40"
,etc....
Any possible way to look into this for a future release of PHP?
