searching for 'mysql' in 'whole site' works just fine for me. can you
provide a specific example that fails?

Seems that the search engine on your site (www.php.net) doesn not work,
it shows the number of results found, but doesn't show the results
themselves, there is no way to access them. I tried several different
searches with different scopes and the only one that works is searching
the function list - search on "online documentation" and "whole site"
produces a result as described above.
