PHP User Gruop in South Africa

To whom it may concern, We intend starting a small php user group in South Africa and we would appreciate your assistance and approval thereof. At this point in time we intend only to host an user discussion forum where php users can get online access to, and information from, other php users with a few future pages dedicated to free sample scripts from users as well as a "how to" section. As the site and group grows we intend making it more interactive with users being able to post their own news, updates, etc. Your copyright notice seems very strict when it comes to your website, code, logo etc and for this reason we would not want to be in any breach of copyright or trademarks. We intend having a similar looking website with our own logo. Would you consider a similar "oval shaped" logo in different colours and letters, except for the standard "php" letters a breach of trademark or copyright? Please note that it is not our intent to copy your logo and site in every way, we simply feel a similar looking site will not alienate new or existing users from the original php look and feel.
