As you know Redhat Linux 8.0 is out. Haven't tried it yet but I was looking at the packages that come with it. I am copying from: http://www.redhat.com/software/linux/technical/packages.html httpd 2.0.40 Apache HTTP Server httpd-devel 2.0.40 Development tools for the Apache HTTP server. httpd-manual 2.0.40 Documentation for the Apache HTTP server. php 4.2.2 The PHP HTML-embedded scripting language. (PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor) (and some php 4.2.2 modules) And I was thinking.... The above page doesn't mention anything about apache 1.3.x. Redhat is supposed to release stable releases and as we all know php support apache2 is still experimental. How stable is Redhat 8.0 with apache2 and php 4.2.2? Should there be a note on the front php page mentioning that RH8 comes with apache2 and that people should use php 4.2.2 with apache 1.3? I'm just saying this cause I'm afraid people are going to flood the webmaster@php.net list with compaints about php lacking the knowledge that apache2 compatibility is still experimental. If I'm just talking BS and someone has installed RH8 and apache 1.3.x is included please let me know.. Spyros
