Hi
I'm often using the php.net/manual pages and often search
different functions to check their syntax - one thing that could be
nice is if you added the accesskey-feature to different form-fields -
that way you could access different form-fields by pressing Alt+key
in windows and Cmd+key on mac!
You can read more about accesskey here:
http://www.w3.org/TR/html401/interact/forms.html#h-17.11.2
Here is a suggestion for the search-form:
<form method="post" action="/search.php" class="thin">
<input type="hidden" name="lang" value="en">
<small><u>s</u>earch for</small>
<input class="small" type="text" name="pattern" value=""
size="30"
accesskey="s"/>
<small>in the</small>
<select name="show" class="small">
<option value="quickref" selected>function list
<option value="nosource">whole site
<option value="manual">online documentation
<option value="bugdb">bug database
<option value="maillist">general mailing list
<option value="devlist">developer mailing list
<option value="phpdoc">documentation mailing list
</select>
<input type="image" src="/gifs/small_submit_white.gif" border="0"
width="11" height="11" ALT="search" align="bottom"
/>
</form>
Last I would like to compliment you with a well-functioning easy-to-
use website - thanks!
Cheers,
Tommy Ipsen
