Respected Sir / Madam, I am just start learning PHP , as it's a new language for me so i am facing lots of problem while installing n configuring PHP. I am using windows 98 , having PWS as a web server .. i have successfully installed PHP from it's PHP Installer shield which i have downloaded from your site. After installing PHP , I saved my phptest file under wwwroot folder and when i tried to access that it was displaying an :: HTTP Error 403 403.1 Forbidden: Execute Access Forbidden This error can be caused if you try to execute a CGI, ISAPI, or other executable program from a directory that does not allow programs to be executed. Please contact the Web server's administrator if the problem persists. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After this i have changed the Execute permission of my wwwroot(home) Folder from my PWS to TRUE .. after this it was showing another Error Message as :: Security Alert! The PHP CGI cannot be accessed directly. This PHP CGI binary was compiled with force-cgi-redirect enabled. This means that a page will only be served up if the REDIRECT_STATUS CGI variable is set, e.g. via an Apache Action directive. For more information as to why this behaviour exists, see the manual page for CGI security. For more information about changing this behaviour or re-enabling this webserver, consult the installation file that came with this distribution, or visit the manual page. After that i have even run the command from my DOS prompt :: D:\php:>php.exe -i after this lots of HTML coading was displayed on my screen .. but still i am not able to run my testphp file ... Now , Please Sir , please guide me what should i do now to run my php script ... Now for me everything is depending upon ur response and i hope that u will understand my problem n help me to try out this problem ... waiting for ur favourable response ... thanks n regards ashish sharma ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Do you Yahoo!?
