All the site contents can be indexed. I don't know actually what is the real setup for php.net's index. Only systems@php.net can tell it to you.. > The initial indexing process took me more than 4 hours and the > db.wordlist is 1GB. Some mirrors restrict their indexes to some common languages searched in that country (French and English are probably good candidates in your case, and maybe some other language also spoken in that country). You can use your server statistics to find out what languages are used mostly. BTW if you can handle a full index, then we are absolutely happy with that ;) > Concerning the display of the results I get a display similar to the one > you get on ch.php.net. I tried to change the template used to display the > results, but I was unsuccesfull to get a display similar to www.php.net. > Did I miss something during the configuration process ? No. I think, I'll add some code to search.php to recognize that templates output, and display it properly... So there is no need to do anything. Actually your display is better (then php.net's) in that it contains more information (stars, date), so please do not try to downgrade your template :) BTW a tip: exlude the print and printwn directories from indexing, as they does not appear in the results anyway. This will make your index significantly smaller, and the searches faster. And please report any changes that need to be made to the installation instructions to upgrade it for the latest htdig version you use. As you noticed, the setup instructions are quite old, and we would like to update them... Regards, Goba [one webmaster@php.net]
