Oops... Sorry I thought I was doing a *good* thing... You know getting
php, apache2 and xp working as a API is a difficult task... And I
thought it strange but useful that by just commenting that line and
getting it to work is something that others need to know...

If you are receiving this email is because your note posted
to the on-line PHP manual has been removed by one of the editors.
Read the following paragraphs carefully, because they contain pointers
to resources better suited for requesting support or reporting bugs,
none of which are to be included in manual notes because there are
mechanisms and groups in place to deal with those issues.
The user contributed notes are not an appropriate place to
ask questions, report bugs or suggest new features; please
use the resources listed in <http://www.php.net/support.php> for those
purposes. This was clearly stated in the page you used to submit your
note, please carefully re-read those instructions before submitting
future contributions.
Bug Submissions and Feature Requests should be entered at
<http://bugs.php.net/>. For documentation errors use the
bug system, and
classify the bug as "Documentation problem". Support and ways to find
answers to your guestions can be found at
<http://www.php.net/support.php>.
Your note has been removed from the on-line manual.

YEE-HAH! (that's Montanan for IT WORKS!)
I *finally* got PHP4.3 working with Apache2.0 on WinXP... the trick for
me --do everything your told to do: eg. put the .dll's where your
suppose to, edit the php.ini and httpd.conf as your directed -- be
careful of paths - tripple check yourself -- THEN -- comment the line as
follows: [in the httpd.conf file]
AddModule mod_php4.c #<- That's how I was told to do it #AddModule
mod_php4.c #<- That's how I DID it
and VOILA - she works
So now my question:
Is the magic for this working something to do with fixes in PHP4.3?
Should this work? (I dont care? or do I? -- at least for the moment -
Its working as an API and not CGI!) But will this break something
somewhere else?
