need some help with one of your fonction

hello, i'm a french developper , i love you language and what we can do with it. so thank But i have a problem with it.. a problem with the odbc_num_rows() fonction it always returns "-1" so an error : my source code is just a test page. it test the connexion (which run), i do a request (select * from test : run too) but odbc_num_rows don't run can you explain me why? <? $res = odbc_connect("chu","",""); $req="SELECT * FROM test"; $resultat = odbc_do($res,$req); $nb = odbc_num_rows($resultat); echo $nb; //returns -1 ?> I tried to convert my access database in 1997 format because i work under access XP (2002) but the problem doesn't seems to be here. i work under access, and windows XP pro, and easyPHP connexion ok, request ok but, num rows error......why? maybe because i use easyPHP...
