Hi!
What about consolidating all images under /images, instead of having
/gifs (filled with some other formats too), and /logos separately.
What about having:
/images
/books
/logos
/manual
/flags
/stats
Half of the logos/stats are PNG, as all the flags too. :)
If there is no problem with this, I can volunteer on cleaning this
up sometime in the near future. I would also like to see standard
book image names (after ISBN numbers). And it may also be a good
idea to have the site images in PNG format, but I remember to
something that Colin had some objections about converting all
site images to PNG. Not that there is any need to do it, but PNG
is more in line with the free software concept, than GIF IMHO :)
So I would build up that new images directory in CVS, as well as
adjust the scripts in phpweb as needed for the transition. IMHO
it would make our lifes easier. At least phpweb would have a more
logical structure.
