so, er, why didn't we just move these on the cvs server to maintain history? I appreciate that they are binary files, so history doesn't really make much "diff"erence -- but still..1. Noone suggested that. 2. If someone moves this on the CVS server, he need to instantly modify all things relating to it (download-logos.php in this case). The gifs dir is a bit harder. Some code uses the print_image() function, some directly link to "/gifs" or "gifs", so it needs more attention. As I have no direct shell access to cvs.php.net (and would not like to have one to screw up things ;), and noone else volunteered to do this, I think it's ok to do this this way. History does not really count. We discussed this move sometimes, and nothing happened. I have just updated the search instructions page, and it would also benefit from this move, as we can say, that they need to specify /images and not /gifs. This would also mean one update for the mirror maintainers insted of two (one now, as the mirror instructions are updated, and one later, as the images dir changes), so I thought it's time to do this... The gifs dir is still to be done, so if you think a CVS dir move is more appropriate, then I would appreciate it if you can do it in short time... Goba
