Dear Sir/Madam,
I was wondering if you might be able to help me.
Firstly, I am currently developing my website in PHP and MySQL, which I
aim to focus on web server technologies. I would like to cover your
software on my site, including instructions on installation and
maintainence. I understand that under clauses three and four of the PHP
license, that I am not allowed to use the name "PHP" in any product, nor
say that you endorse such product, without prior written permission from
yourselves. Therefore, would I be allowed to use your name, in articles
that I write and in any utilities that I may create please?
Secondly, I am considering having advertising banners on my web site,
using the utility "phpAdsNew". Please bear in mind that I have mot yet
decided on this issue, but it is a possibility. I am a user of your
software, and you would be welcome to have advertising banners on my
site for free. If you would, then please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thirdly, would I be allowed to add a PHP function lookup box to my site
please. If I would be allowd to, please could you provide me with some
details as how to go about this, such as the "action" path for the form.
Fourthly, I would just like to point out that PCReview.co.uk is not
actually my site. It is a site which is owned by a friend of mine, who
kindly gave me an email address at the site. I am sorry, but I do not
have a web site address to provide you with at this time.
I would be grateful for your help.
Yours faithfully,
Scott Sweeting
