While looking at functions pages in the manual on-line, I ran into serious
problems with both IE and Opera. I am using IE 5 and Opera 7. Netscape 7
showed no errors, but I don't prefer using it. The problems appear to be the
result of bad CSS.
Example: http://www.php.net/manual/en/control-structures.switch.php
In IE I get the gray code boxes flattened to a single line of text- with all
the text from multiple lines stacked on one line. additionally, all
emboldened text is displaced about 20px lower that it should be. The
comments at the bottom render as if they are empty - just a thin light gray
line with no text.
In Opera, the blocks appear normally, but the text is seemingly not there at
all. Similarly, the boxes for comments are sized correctly, but seemingly
devoid of text. Disabling CSS in Opera shows all the text is there.
Thanks for maintaining the site, I use it often! I will be happy to send
screenshots if you need them.
Huh, can you please submit this as a "php.net website bug" at bugs.php.net? Please do not send screenshots however, I can imagine what you see, but cannot provide any reasons for it. Yes, the CSS may not be ok for those non-standard browsers, but I don't know right now what to do, and cannot look into it... If you submit this bug, someone will sometime pick it up. I have IE6 and Mozilla, checked the page you provided above, but cannot see any problems :(((
