PHP on Windows

Hello PHP WebMaster, I looked into things and found that Apache, PHP and MySQL work fine on Windows, and that most Windows programmers or admins do not have a clue that this is so. The focus lets me get down to explicit advice. This should let Windows shops, 1. Start using better tools for web servers 2. Ease the transition to Linux later, as they do not have to also scrap IIS.
