Yeah, that was my intention. For people who's primary use of php.net is the
reference manual (like me) some of the language options are of little value
and cumbersome; I'm not learning new spoken/written languages very often. Perhaps a special domain, http://ref.php.net could be implemented for just
such visitors? I'd have time and resources to donate if this was thought
useful.
Well, there is no need to overcomplicate anything.
http://php.net/manual already points to what you are looking for (the manual in your preferred language). And most of the experienced users by the way are using the URL shortcuts to get into the manual and not the menu (http://php.net/header for example). I don't really think what *new* feature would you like to add?
Yes, regardless, I'm going to play around with a couple options for docs.php.
I checked out phpweb/ HEAD from CVS (about 10 minutes ago) and have it
happily running as a mirror (http://php.newyorkphp.net:8080/) but can't seem
to locate any of the manuals. phpweb/manual/*langcode*/ are all empty, and
en/ doesn't exist at all. What am I missing?
I still don't think that docs.php needs such an amendment...
