Hi!
great you offer a personalized page now! it would be great to make more use of that. i could think of: * a list of the most recently visited documentation pages. i find i always return to the same documentation pages. sort of "the list you made" at amazon. * additionally to add certain documentation pages to a list on my php homepage. (sort of "in-site" bookmarks). * monitoring doc. pages where i have added a comment for later comments/replies to my comment. Please note that we have one hundred (yes now exactly one hundred) mirror sites worldwide. Our intention was with the my php.net service to provide the same service on all mirrors for you while providing some customisation possibilities. Where would we store those bookmarks or last visited pages list? Currently we rely on cookies to store all the settings (and remember last used language, etc). We certainly cannot store PHP page names in cookies, there would not be enough space for that. If we would rely on a central server to store user preference information, then the whole point in having a local mirror would be distracted, as if the central server wuold be down, no service would work. I bet that users will get used to all the personalisation features (which we are going to add more in the future), that we would have many problems if any central server goes down. The comment system is *not a forum*, so we are not going to add any features for user to monitor if any replys arrived for their comments. The comments are not for asking questions, and so not a place to expect any replys. Our note editors delete user notes asking questions, and those replying to them regularly. Our user not system is not a forum. Goba
