Hi Josef!
I have a question concerning the copyright of the Manual: I have copied the the text of the Introduction in German language to a own site and mentioned the copyright of the PHP Group. See at: http://www.adiserv.com/de/service/phpallg.html Is this ok? I don't want to hurt any rights of the PHP Group.
The documentation is copyrighted by the PHP Documentation Group, which is not the same as the PHP Group. The current license of the online version is the GPL, which you probably know the meaning of. :) So you need to incorporate a reference to the GPL, and to the PHP Documentation Group (effectively the copyright text excluding the Zend copyright stuff, which you are not copying). Also watch closely on the site, as the manual license will shortly be changed to the Open Publication License, so you will need to modify the reference too. Watch out on the copyright page! Please note that I am not a professional lawyer, so what I am saying may not be 100% correct, but this is the common interpreation of our license, as far as I can see. Goba
