Re: Change in User Note Order

I recently changed the way notes were ordered, re: bug 23991, from oldest -> newest to newest -> oldest. Though I thought this was a good idea initially (read the bug report), there have been some issues that I haven't thought about. First, some users say "In reply to...". The new ordering system would mess up the logical order of these replies.

I have just planned to emphasize this. But to also note that the notes system is not for forum like conversation, so this should not be a problem for good notes (which are not kind of "forum posts").

Second, newer notes that need to be deleted will now show up on top, before they can be deleted. Is this a good idea?
